Student Health Service offers advice continues, as the swine flu School Care

Like most universities around the country expected to Montana State University, is the swine flu and seasonal influenza, the disease on campus in the fall and winter. However, Jim Mitchell, director of health services in the MSU, said the university is already preparing for the disease.

"Or a disease that can appear when the students try to be ready," said Ms. Mitchell added that the level up to now, the swine flu, or H1N1, has not been more severe flu season. "Probably the best thing, we can do is being readied to take appropriate precautions."

First, know the symptoms of the disease, "said Mitchell. Both the swine flu and flu season have the same symptoms: fever or chills, cough or sore throat. Other symptoms may include runny nose, muscle aches, sore head, fatigue, diarrhea and vomiting.

Mitchell said the university is any one with flu symptoms to stay home or bring into question their rooms, where many students stay at least 24 hours after they are no longer without the use of fever reducing medications such as fever paracetamol and ibuprofen.

Mitchell said the swine flu vaccination in Bozeman looks forward to the fall. The first priority is for pregnant women, children, adolescents and adults vaccinated with chronic diseases, "he said.

Mitchell said that the best thing that member of the MSU and the Bozeman community can do to take precautions, including:

Stay healthy by eating well, exercising and getting enough sleep.

Cover nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing. Cough in the arm, shoulder and elbow. Even a bare arm is better than your hands. If you wash with a cloth, or simply alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

Wash your hands often with soap and water or the alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

"And do not forget your regular vaccination against seasonal influenza," he said.
Mitchell said that currently there are no recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to unsubscribe, for large classes and public events at MSU and other universities.
